Spoken Word Poetry verbindet. Und sie hat die Fähigkeit, Menschen zu ermächtigen. Unausgesprochenes und Unaussprechliches in Worte zu fassen und ihm auf diesem Weg eine Form bzw. eine Stimme zu geben.

Ajayini Sathyan wird im Rahmen unseres Projekts zwei Spoken Word Workshops leiten – am Samstag einen für sog. FLINTA-Personen und am Sonntag einen Workshop für Schwarze FLINTA bzw. FLINTA of Color. Im geschützten Rahmen könnt ihr kreativ werden, gemeinsam Ideen entwickeln und mit verschiedenen Techniken experimentieren, um so zu eigenen Spoken Word Texten zu kommen. Konkret helfen werden euch dabei Ajayins Tools aus dem Creative Writing und Aesthetic Journalling. Um mit dem Journalling bereits vorher und in eurem Tempo beginnen zu können, wird euch Ajayini eine Woche vor dem Workshop entsprechende Reflexionsfragen zukommen lassen.

Wer möchte, ist herzlich eingeladen, einen oder mehrere während des Workshops entstandene Texte auf unserer Spoken Word Bühne mit Ajayini als Haupt Artist am Sonntag, 19.12. (Beginn: 18 Uhr) zu performen.

Ajayini Sathyan versteht sich als gender non-binary QueerPOC Aktivist*in, ist zertifizierte*r Queer Peer-Berater*in und Künstler*in aus Tamil Nadu. Spoken Word, Gedichte und Kunst nutzt Ajayini, um sich mit politisierten Themen wie kultureller Herkunft, (Neo-)Kolonialismus, Critical Whiteness, Geschlecht und Sexualität auseinander zu setzen. Die Bereiche, in denen sich Ajayini engagiert, sind viele. Neben der Arbeit mit LGBTQ-Personen, Menschen mit HIV unterhalb der Armutsgrenze und Cis-/Trans-Sexarbeiterinnen zählt auch die Arbeit mit Dalit-Frauen sowie Dalit-LGBTQIAs dazu.  _ Wir stellen Getränke und Snacks bereit. Spenden hierfür helfen uns, sie gegen zu finanzieren, sind aber kein Muss. Wir wollen, dass alle teilnehmen und sich verpflegen können – unabhängig davon, wie viel Geld sie zur Verfügung haben

 _ Workshopsprachen sind Deutsch und Englisch.

 _ Dieser Workshop richtet sich an alle FLINTA-Personen. Gemeint sind damit Frauen, Lesben, Intersexuelle, Nicht-Binäre, sowie Trans- und Agender-Personen. Solltest du nicht genau wissen, ob du gemeint bist, schreib uns gern!

 _ Ein safer space Workshop für FLINTAs findet am Samstag statt.

Spoken Word Poetry has the capacity to connect. And it gives the opportunity to empower. To put in words the unspoken. The unspeakable. And by that giving it a shape and a voice.

Ajayini Sathyan will lead two Spoken Word Workshops: Saturdays workshop is aimed at FLINTA people, while Sundays‘ workshop is aimed at Black / Indigenous FLINTA as well as FLINTA of Color.

Working in two safer spaces you will have the chance to get creative, get inspired as well as experiment with a variety of techniques in order to write your own Spoken Word pieces. Ajayini will focus on methods such as Creative Writing as well as Aesthetic Journalling. One week before your workshop you will receive a set of questions so that you can start journalling beforehand and have your own pace.

You are most welcome to perform one (or more) pieces you created during the workshop on Sunday night (6 p.m.), when we will be hosting our next Spoken Word Poetry Stage with Ajayini as main artist.

Ajayini Sathyan identifies as  gender non-binary QueerPOC activist and certified queer peer councellor and artist from Tamil Nadu. Whenever possible, Ajayini actively represents queer refugees / queer POCs. Through spoken word / poems, art and through interactive lectures, workshops and discussions Ajayini deals with politicized topics such as cultural origin, (neo-) colonialism, critical whiteness, gender as well as sexuality. Ajayini has worked with LGBTQIA people, people living with HIV below the poverty line, Cis / Trans sex workers as well as Dalit women and Dalit LGBTQIA. _ We will prepare drinks as well as snacks for you. If you could make a donation to cover these expenses it would be very helpful, but not a prerequisite to take whatever you would like to drink / eat. We want everyone to participate and eat / drink together, regardless of their finances.

_ This workshop is aimed at women as well as lesbian, intersexual, non-binary as well as trans- and agender people, summed up as FLINTA in German (Frauen / Lesben / Intersexuelle / Nicht-Binäre / Trans- und Agender-Personen). In case you are not sure if you are meant, please do not hesitate to ask us!

_ A safer space workshop aimed at FLINTA in general will be held on Saturday.
