Empowerment Workshop for BIPOC.

This Workshop is held in English and will take place over Zoom.

“I See You I See You I See You” is a workshop for those who identify as Indiegnous, Black, and/or People of Color. Participants should arrive ready to practice active listening, to engage in moments of reflection and discussion, while making space to create, explore, and question: What do we know? What do we remember? What do we desire moving forward? The personal and the autobiographical will be relied upon to chart the social, the cultural, and the political spheres that we navigate. “I See You I See You I See You” invites IBPOC (Indigenous, People who identify as Black, or People of Color) to create a map of the world that we live in, drawn by our own hands, described in our own voices. Please note that this workshop is open to IBPOC and that it is a safer space for all genders including transwomen, transmen, people who identify as non-binary, IBPOC who practise various faiths including Islam, Judaism, ATR & other Indigenous religious practices, people who chart their identities along LGBTQIA PLUS spectrums, and IBPOC who are disability idenfitied, and People who identify as Roma or Sinti. Safer spaces work to deconstruct various forms of violence that we experience including but not limited to sexism, transphobia, ableism, antisemitism, and anti-Blackness.”

Isaiah Lopaz is an artist and a writer originally from Los Angeles. Born in 1979, Lopaz is a migrant who currently lives in Europe, of African, Gullah, and Indigenous descent. His work which spans performance, collage, video, and installation is concerned with race, sexuality, history, and culture.

"I See You I See You I See You" ist ein Workshop für diejenigen, die sich als Indigen, als Schwarz und/oder People of Color identifizieren. Die Teilnehmer*innen sollten bereit sein, aktives Zuhören zu üben, sich auf Momente des Nachdenkens und der Diskussion einzulassen, während Raum zum Schaffen, Erforschen und Fragen gegeben wird: Was wissen wir? Woran erinnern wir uns? Was wünschen wir uns, um vorwärts zu kommen? Das Persönliche und das Autobiographische wird Grundlage für die Darstellung der sozialen, kulturellen und politischen Sphären, in denen wir uns bewegen. "I See You I See You I See You" lädt IBPOC (Indigene, Schwarze und/oder People of Color) ein, um eine Karte der Welt, in der wir leben, zu erstellen. Gezeichnet von unsere eigenen Händen, beschrieben mit unseren eigenen Stimmen. Bitte beachtet, dass dieser Workshop für IBPOC ist und dass es ein sicherer Raum für alle Geschlechter ist, einschließlich Transfrauen, Transmänner und Menschen die sich als nicht-binär identifizieren. Sowie für IBPOC, die verschiedene Glaubensrichtungen praktizieren, einschließlich Islam, Judentum, ATR & andere indigene religiöse Praktiken. IBPOC Menschen, die ihre Identität entlang der LGBTQIA PLUS Spektren verorten und IBPOC Menschen mit Behinderung, als auch IBPOC Menschen, die sich als Roma oder Sinti identifizieren. Sichere Räume arbeiten an der Dekonstruktion verschiedener Formen von Gewalt, die wir erleben, einschließlich aber nicht beschränkt auf Sexismus, Transphobie, Behindertenfeindlichkeit, Antisemitismus und Anti-Schwarzen Rassismus.
